Assigned the word “deteriorate,” I explored how capitalism’s weakening ideals—mass production and consumerism—contribute to a broader decline.
Drawing on Marxist theory, I examined how monetary value obscures the labor and capital behind production. What do we truly buy? What do we consume? This project critiques capitalism through satirical visuals, revealing the disconnect between cost, meaning, and the hidden structures of economic exchange.
